A completed check should move the job forward. Connect its result to the project record, work order or report that the next person uses.
Start from where the work is tracked
Map the route from the source of a result to the system where it is needed.
That might connect an ERP order, a SharePoint project list, a Power BI report or an operator upload. I establish the destination, the people using it and the action the information supports.
Small pieces that save typing
An integration can be small: a row in a SharePoint list, a note on the work order, a table Power BI can read.
A document check can write its findings to the project’s list. An event, such as a site check finished or a deviation found, can be logged where the weekly report picks it up. A result can be prepared as a file in the format the operator’s system takes for upload, so nobody re-keys it.
A confirmed document finding mapped field by field to the columns of a SharePoint list: site, work order, title, link to the source document and approver
Keep approval in the handoff
Define which information can move automatically and which needs review.
For a document finding, the destination can receive the reviewer’s confirmed result with its source and approval record. Corrections need to follow the same path so both systems reflect the decision.
Start with a file, then connect
Validate the information flow with an accepted file format, then automate where it adds value.
An Excel or CSV export makes field mapping easy to inspect. Once the mapping and review rules are proven, I can build the connection through Power Automate, an API or the system’s own interface.
Three steps: file handoff, where it starts; supervised pilot; and a connection to your system, scoped separately
